The café
We look forward to welcoming you to the purpur Café in a relaxed or lively atmosphere, for chatting, reading, playing or working, with delicious coffee or whatever you like and vegan snacks.
You'll find the Purpur Café in Göttingen's city center, at Rote Straße 39. You can take a seat in the cozy dining room, in the quiet courtyard, or outside in front of the door.

Wed-Fri: 10am-5pm
Sat: 10am-6pm
Here you can enjoy espresso specialties with a choice of at least two coffee beans. We prepare everything we currently have on offer using a hand filter. For a light snack, we offer a selection of pastries, homemade cakes, rice pudding, and a rotating selection of savory snacks. Everything is always vegan.
Of course, you can also buy coffee beans; if you wish, we will grind the beans for you on site.
For those curious to take the plunge into the world of specialty coffee without immediately blowing their savings, we have a rental set in the café containing everything necessary to try it out.
