About Us

In Göttingen's city center, at Rote Straße 39, you'll find the Purpur Café. You can take a seat in the cozy café, in the quiet courtyard, or outside. Here you can enjoy espresso specialties with a choice of at least two coffees. We prepare everything we currently have on offer using a hand filter. For a light bite, we offer a selection of pastries, homemade cakes, rice pudding, and a rotating selection of savory snacks. Everything is always vegan. Of course, you can also purchase coffee beans, and we'll even grind them for you on-site upon request.
For those curious to take the plunge into the world of specialty coffee without immediately blowing their savings, we have a rental set in the café containing everything necessary to try it out.
